The Varsity ran its record to 5-2 on the year with a 10-0 win against Lebanon at Pyle Stadium. KhaiUyen Huynh scored the first goal just 5 minutes into the game off of a pass from Nathan Massey. Huynh would score again 2 minutes later from Drake Trease’s pass. Tanner Pesek netted the third goal from Weston Hanger. The 4th goal would come at the 20 minute mark when Robert Neathery’s cross found Scott Sterling who headed the ball past the Lebanon keeper. Neathery would work his magic again and crossed it into Luke Moore who headed home the 5th goal in the 23rd minute. Micah Wyssmann would score the 6th goal from a Corey Cann pass. With 5 minutes to go in the half Kaleb Romero found Weston Hanger for goal #7. In the 38th minute Drake Hughes pounced on a loose ball in front of the goal and scored for the 8th goal.
The second half saw two players get their first varsity goals. Matt Overby scored the 9th goal just a minute into the half off of Josh Rose’s cross. Jesse Bihlmeyer finished the game with a nice shot from the right side to the far post. Charlie Fenwick had the assist. Mason Young tallied his 3rd shutout of the season in goal.
The JV beat Lebanon 4-0 to improve its record to 2-2. Quinton Monnig opened the scoring in the 6th minute off of a pass from Thomas Canales. Austin Engleman scored the second goal which was unassisted. Thomas Canales got theh third goal off of a nice shot under the bar from a set play. Andrew Schenck scored the last goal with just under 2 minutes to play. The JV only played a half because Lebanon has low numbers this year.
The teams open up conference play Thursday at home against Neosho.
