The Varsity Eagles beat Neosho 6-0. The win puts the Eagles at 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in the COC. Andrew Schenck put the Eagles on the board first just two minutes in when Drake Trease found Andrew who had made a nice run into the box. Schenck would score again from Trease a few minutes later. Robert Neathery would score just two minutes later off of a pass from Schenck to make the score 3-0 after 12 minutes. Drake Trease’s corner found Adrian Yang-Jacobi’s head for the 4th goal and Josh Rose would score from way out that surprised the keeper to make it 5-0 at the half. The Eagles would have numerous chances putting a lot of pressure on the Wild Cat defense but could only manage 1 more goal which Austin Engleman finished with assists going to Drake Trease and Quinton Monnig. The Neosho goalie had 21 saves on the night.
Mason Young had another shutout in goal.
The JV Eagles won as well increasing their record to 4-1. The Eagles would jump out to a 3-0 lead at the half with goals by Jesse Bihlmeyer (unassisted), Richie Fenwick (assist – Blake Johnson), and Chris Whitlock (Bihlmeyer). The second half goals were scored by Bihlmeyer (Ryan Berg) and Fenwick (unassisted). The shutout was shared by Josh Pittser and Hunter Wilson.
The Eagles have a week off until they play conference foe Webb City next Thursday at home.
