Eagles get two wins against Bolivar on Senior Night

Seniors - Back Row: Weston Hanger, Charlie Fenwick, Nate Hoffman, Alfredo Gonzalez, KhaiUyen Huynh, Front Row: Josh Rose, Adrian Yang-Jacobi and Drake Hughes

The Varsity Eagles beat Bolivar 5-1 increasing their record to 15-2 on the year.  The win total of 15 is a record for wins in a season already with six more regular season games to go.  What a great present from the seniors on Senior Night.

The Eagles opened the scoring midway through the 1st half when Corey Cann’s cross found Drake Trease on the far post for a great goal.  Corey Cann would score just before half from a beautiful ball into the box from Luke Moore.  KhaiUyen would continue the scoring on an unassisted goal 10 minutes into the second half.  Trease would get his second goal of the night off of another long ball from Moore just three minutes later.  Bolivar would get on the scoreboard when they converted on an indirect kick in the box for a high kick called against Nixa.  Alfredo Gonzalez scored with 7 minutes to play when his shot from out on the left side of the field found its way over the keeper’s head.  Quinton Monnig assisted the final goal.

The JV beat the Liberators 6-0.  The win pushes their record to 10-2-1 on the season and it’s another year of double digit wins for the JV.  Jacob Bratcher and Richie Fenwick had two goals each with Jake Dawson and Chirs Whitlock finding the net for the other two goals.  Matt Treml, Hugo Montejo, Cory Barrentine, Colton Knight, Fenwick and Bratcher had the assists.

The teams travel to Carthage on Thursday for a big showdown with the Tigers.  This game could determine the conference championship.
